And she will be born of the sea goddess, Aranel, and she will be what man calls beautiful so that they may look upon her and know their goddess loves them. But she will possess powers far beyond the mortals she is modeled from, and if lead down the wrong path by her people, will bring the earth and its inhabitants to their knees.

I've been noticing lately that I draw too many blonde people. I think it's because most of my main characters always end up being either blonde or light brown. But all of my stories are set in medieval times, so there's not really a lot of elbow room for hair and skin color unless it was some special kind of elf or something.
But no. This character is supposed to be "beautiful" in the eyes of men. And what I thought beautiful would be is long, thick yellow hair and too full lips that are naturally cherry red. And, of course, she has blue eyes because, what kind of goddess child would she be if her eyes weren't the color of the sea?
She's supposed to represent humanity's last chance to approval from the gods so they don't smite them and start over.
Surprisingly the story is a romantic comedy almost.
